7 stages of life... 7 trips!

Hi…today i have to write something about a metaphor that William Shakespeare wrote…wait do you know who Sir William Shakespeare was? No!? Yes?! Well, in case of not knowing, please go watch Romeo and Juliet; it’s one of his most famous play in all worlds and it’s worthy. But as I was saying, I have to write a text based on… what?! Oh yes, a metaphor and it goes like this All the World is a… I will say JOURNEY. Because my life is a journey, with ups and downs, but still a journey.
Well, I have to divide life in stages and use the metaphor to characterize them, so I will start by dividing life in 7 stages…and I will characterize him with countries and her meanings to me, ok? Let’s go… the first place we will visit is Niger, because is the country with the more rate of baby born in all world, because of his poorness and the non development of this country social, economical and culturally.
--> The second place and also my second stage is France, to more specific Disneyland Paris, because it’s where all the kids want to go and see the fantastic world of magic and fairytales. --> The third place will be, well I’m from Portugal, so I have to say Portugal but you can adapt to what it is your country, because this stage visits their own country, it’s that stage when after you travel to Disneyland you go travel and discover your own country.
--> The fourth stage is Spain, because everyone in teenage era wants to go to Spain do some wilds and have fun and it’s also the trip of seniors high.
--> The fifth stage can be… an Eurotrip or an Interrail, because it’s when you have see all places but you go always  with your parents or teachers and you want to travel alone, just you and your friends and it’s also because after you come from your Eurotrip you will start university, so is kind a summer for chill out.
--> The sixth stage… well that’s a tough one, I will say India or Bali, because it’ when adults need some interior peace and need to get back positive energies and thoughts they lost because the stress and the intensive daily routine they live every day without resting, so it’s kind of a personal advice to try if you need some rest, some balance in your life.
--> The seventh and last stage are that stage where you are so older, that you might not be able to travel, but I will try to find a country for you… it won’t be easy, but… well, I guess it can be Ireland and it’s not just because it’s one of my favorites countries ever… but also because it’s a country where it have all that immensity of green, mountains, fresh and pure air and it’s sort of a magic country, because their legends and their stories of fairies and the Leprechaun. And if you don’t like Ireland, and you like beach and hot weathers, well you have the Bahamas. That’s all for today, I hope you like it and you return to read more posts.
Bye bye :)

Let’s philosophize a little, ok?

Well this week, we are talking about the amazing writer, William Shakespeare
He made this beautiful, amazing, fantastic (there aren’t enough adjectives) about the different stages of life… and, yes, I have to create my own metaphoric interpretation.
I will start to say, All the world is a (Shakespeare used the word stage, I am guessing I cannot use the same so…) adventure - that’s right, nor a stage, nor a beautiful place - just ADVENTURE.
There so many places to visit, physical places, or the most terrified ones… the emotional places.
Living itself is a trip, a vicious, weird, amazing, terrified (you name it) travel.
It all starts very weird, with screams, terror and of course love, and then you are opening your eyes to the world for the first time, the Milk stage, and guess what… you are this little thing, but you are the boss, people will do everything you want the only thing you need to do is scream and cry, yah life it is beautiful… but all the good things come to an end, and you will grow up and the real life will begin.
First we have the stage, which I like to call orange juice, it is when you cease to be the boss, and start being sent, you want to do whatever you want but, you can’t, it is the phase were you will be spanking a lot.
Then you are in the glories’ stage (just kidding, it is the worst one), the stage of Coca-Cola, yes, you are a teenager, your freedom will be a little bit bigger, but you will be revolted with everything and everyone, and if you are a girl, yes, you will fall in love a lot, and get hurt a lot, and cry a lot!
But take it easy, it will seems ages, but you will get to the phase of Beer, in this stage you are the owner of the world, you will get time for everything, being with friends a lot, but you will continue to life in your parent’s house… and you will not like it, so you will not enjoy this phase as you should.
And we are almost finishing, in a less than a blink you will be in a stage of whiskey, you are no longer young, your tastes will change, you will start having many more responsibilities… in this stage you will want to get back to Beer stage, that stage you didn’t like because you are not total independent, that stage where everything was so much easy…
And then, the Serum stage, in this stage you probably will have someone to take care of you because you will no longer be capable of it, you will forget about who you are, where you are… but in others days everything will be clear as water… and if you lived well, your wrinkled mouth will draft a smile…

Life is a trip you have to take, even if you don’t want… is not going to be easy, or sweet… but I can ensure you that something real good will came from this, so relax and enjoy the trip.  :b

"Would you erase me?"

I have to apologize myself, I know that this blog is about travelling… but for this week, I have to talk about the movie of my life, so… things will be a little different, and we will travel to the world of movies… First of all, movies are my real love, so is very hard to me to say that this movie, or that movie is my favorite, or that he changed my life… because they all did in their own way and in different subjects…

But even without being sure, I will say that the movie that changed my life was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The Director is Michel Gondry, and in the cast we have Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet as the main characters.
I am almost certain that in some time of your life you wish to forget, some episode or some person that made you suffer, so… now imagine that they give you that chance, that you really could forgot anything that you want, would you take it?
These characters they did, Joel and Clementine fall in love, thing got bad… and both choose to forget each other… but when the doctor of the Lacuna Inc. was erasing Joel’s memories from the wild relationship with Clementine, in his mind he remembered why he falls in love with her… and then the true adventure begins, he did everything he could to safe Clementine inside his mind, and… (oh wait I telling too much… see the movie :b)
This is a movie about love, pain, and stupid things that we do, even when everything seems bad, and you really want to forget, remember that some episodes of your life, as bad as they are, something good can come from them!

The movie of my life :)

Hello, hello
I’m Celia and i was bored because, i have done everything to do (homework’s… house tasks and even my social life was already checked) so i thought “Why not talk about the movie of my life?”  I see a lot of movies, i’m like, addicted to movies and i see thousands of its. So, sit down, prepare your popcorns and get ready to read about one of my favorite movie.
One of my greatest movies is “Eat, Pray and Love” and the movie talks about travelling, and let me just say that it’s one thing that i always wanted to do… so if I cannot travel, at least i will travel while i see movies J So, the female main character is Julia Roberts (i LOVE her  :b) and then the male main character is Javier Bardem.
Very briefly ii will explain to you the history… so Liz (Julia Roberts), she’s unhappy with her marriage, her job, her life… so she decides to travel alone searching for some peace, some self-esteem some desire to marvel with something, some appetite for lif (like she used to fee) and most of all some happiness. She starts by travel to Italy (awesome country… love the food) and she gains some friends and some pounds :b
Then she travels to India in search of interior peace and some happiness, she adopts the culture, she had the opportunity to become closer of God, but instead of asking that, she wants to discuss her relationship...
She ends the year in Bali, where besides she found the so needed balance, she also found love. And that’s when Javier Bardem shows up. He is Felipe and he is a charming with a vision of a practical and simple life, without complications or fears and unhappiness. So he’s exactly what she needs. They complete each other, him an practical spirit with her a complicated mind together, they made things work out well and end up together.
I hope you like my resume of the movie “Eat, Pray and Love” and if you didn’t see it yet, please see it because it’s worth.

                     Eat                                                                Pray                                                    Love

Letter to my lovely Bess

5th October 1591

Dear Bess,

I know that you are concerned about my situation with the queen, but she is a wonderful and fair queen, she won’t let us punish for much time. She likes you and she has an admiration that it’s a little bit surprising for me, but I know that she likes me too. I touched her heart when i talked about my expedition to the New World, you were there, and you could saw her face when I started to describe the quantity of things they possessed and the large of land unexplored and “virgin” that exists. She was very interesting and i think that might be perhaps, because her curious nature and her spirit of courage and adventure. We both know that if she could, she will explore with me this New World and she will be delightfully. She has a soul of child and an innocence of a young girl who doesn’t know how far the moon to the earth stays.
However my love we also both know that she won’t be able to come with me into the New World, she is a queen. The Queen of England for God’s sake, she cannot have a private life without anyone knows it and comment on it.
Now my dear Bess, do you want me to describe just for you the New World? I will. So can you imagine what it feels like seeing nothing besides an immensity of ocean and water? Just this, nothing more, for weeks and weeks without seeing anything but water? No land, no women, no food enough, just a group of men lonely with all that emptiness and that peace? You start to feel fear, fear for everything, fear of storms, and fear of get sick or die. But we must take our fear and put it behind our bags, we cannot give it one of our thoughts, we cannot doubt about us and our faith, our God’s and our hearts. We must keep hope. When, suddenly we start to glimpse something but we don’t know what it is, so we wait, wait and wait for days until finally we saw what it is… it’s land, land virgin and unexplored, land with food and safe places to sleep, land with so many things to see that we cannot absorb everything for just one look. You must keep looking and assimilate all you can see, because it’s magic, its pure magic of nature, it’s a miracle of God and we were the first to see such beauty. In the end we all pray for that bless and I, I pray for my Queen one day could saw what I saw.
I’m sorry… I got emotional, the Queen when I told her my trip to New World she said. “I like your immensities. Your ocean is an image of eternity I think. Such grand spaces make us small. Do we discover the New World Mr. Riley or does the New World discover us?” (Elizabeth the Golden Age) I never forget her face when she told me that, she is a remarkable women and she is a great queen.

With all my love

Secrets of a Queen…

I know I have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and stomach of a king.

I have to be perfect, I have to be whatever they want me to be… I am a virgin and they are always saying that I need a husband, but I can’t choose the one I want.
I tried to look strong, but I SOFER too, I am a simple human being not a machine they want me to be.
Some days ago, a pirate from England return here, show me what he found out when he was travelling… Oh travelling, travelling, travelling HOW I WICH BE ABLE TO PUT MYSELF ON A BOAT AND JUST GO… but I can’t my people need me, I am there queen.
When I first so him, I didn’t pay too much attention, he was just one more trying to get me to give him money… but then I fall in love, he had so much experience and so much interesting things to say about the three corners of the world… yesterday he put tears one my eyes when he described the New World, he used this exactly words: Can you imagine what it is to cross on ocean? For weeks you see nothing but the horizon, perfect and empty. You are living in the grip of fear. Fear of storm, fear of sickness on the board, fear of immensity.
So you must drive the fear down deep into your belly, study your chart, watch your compass, pray for a fair wind and hope, pure, naked, fragile, hope…
At first, it's no more than a haze on the horizon, so you watch, you watch, then it's a smudge, a shadow on the far water. For a day, for another day, the stain slowly spreads along the horizon taking form until on the third day, you let yourself believe. You dare to whisper the word: Land, land, life, resurrection. The true adventure coming out of the vast unknown, out of the immensity, into new life new world (Elizabeth and The Golden Age)
It’s beautiful right? Yah I know… it made me think that life would be so easy if I could chose the man I love and just go with him; build a family in this beautiful world… My counselors said to me that this New World was empty, virgin, untouched and the only thing we can do with him is get some resources, but in my dreams I saw houses, people, streets, noise, a place to live and be happy…
Sometimes I wish be just a regular woman, and not a queen because that can be a bless but also a course… the only thing that I can do is dream, dream with him, dream with the New World, dream with travels.
Oh, maybe sometime I will go…and just be nothing.
God Bless New World, God Bless Walter Raleigh!

Elizabeth.
